Automated packaging solution significantly reduces logistics costs for mobility aid products

The challenge

  • Topro’s innovative products needed smarter transport packaging in order to minimise logistics costs and environmental impact.
  • They also wanted to improve production efficiency and automate their entire packaging process.
  • Their current packaging was awkward to store and load and was not recyclable. 
 

Our approach

  • Together with Topro, we assessed the supply chain throughout Europe and with the help of Paper to Box, defined the required packaging criteria and functionality - which all was delivered with our new packaging concept. 
  • Test shipments were also made to their sites in Europe as 90% of their products are exported.
     

     

     
 

The result

  • Our new tapered box solution allowed better pallet fill with 180 more products per truck
  • Our solution for Topro reduced logistics costs by 40% and their packing line is now 100% automated.
