Smurfit Kappa Composites Donate Safety Glasses to the NHS
Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership is one of 38 LEPs in England. They are playing a vital role in driving forward economic growth. LEPs are business-led partnerships between local authorities and the private sector, whose role is to determine local economic priorities and undertake activities to drive economic growth and the creation of jobs.
We were recently approached by Ken McKeown of the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership. Ken was helping the Cumbria LEP to coordinate donation of PPE for the local NHS trust. – Contacting all local industries to see if they had spare PPE available to donate and offering to collate and distribute it accordingly.
“Although, out of the norm of supplying premium composite tube packaging for predominantly the luxury drinks and cosmetics industry, we (Smurfit Kappa Composites) are delighted to have been able to help our community by supporting our local healthcare and emergency services with the donation of 22 pairs of safety glasses and goggles”. – David Humes, General Manager
