Colleagues in our Coronel Suárez site realized that there was a need to encourage recycling and the proper separation of waste within their community. In response, they created ReCreo, an educational recycling program that extends to primary, secondary and third level schools in the area, through which they conduct workshops with local children. To further support the program, the team have also set up public paper and card collection points at our plant entrance and on the grounds of several local companies.

This year, a total of 70 tons of paper and cardboard has been recovered thanks to the initiative and the commitment of institutions, students and their families. This brings the total amount of material recovered to a significant 300 tons over the last three years. Crucially, awareness about the importance of waste segregation and a sense of individual responsibility have been nurtured within the community and continue to thrive as good practice becomes embedded.
