    Since 1970, June has been recognized as ‘Pride Month’ to commemorate the Stonewall Rebellion of June 28th 1969 in USA and the impact that subsequent riots had on society.

    The six-coloured rainbow flag was created in 1978, and is the symbol of all superior values that can be found in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, etc.. LGBTQ+ people. The flag represents pride, social movements and expressions and the colours reflect the diversity of this community.
  • Progress Pride Flag

    Meaning of the Progress Pride Flag

    In 2018 the Progress Pride Flag was created, and five arrow-shaped lines were added to the original six-coloured Rainbow flag to place a greater emphasis on inclusion and progression. The flag includes black and brown strips to represent marginalised LGBTQ+ communities of colour, along with the colours pink, blue and white, which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag.
