Jardim Botanico Gin | Beverage Packaging Success Story

The Challenge

Jardim Botânico is a premium Brazilian gin, crafted in São Paulo’s first-ever gin distillery. They approached Smurfit Kappa for an eCommerce pack that better protected the bottles, solving their damages issue, which was impacting brand reputation. The solution also needed to present the bottle in a premium way and deliver a memorable unboxing experience.

The Approach

Our expert design team proposed three options, each of which met their requirements in a different way. After a collaborative working session at our São Paulo Experience Centre, a two-piece corrugated solution was chosen, an outer box with a protective insert. Upon opening, the bottle is presented as if it was a jewel, providing a differentiated unboxing experience.

The Result

Jardim Botânico team was delighted that our proposal was able to meet their product, supply chain and branding needs in such a short timescale. The final design was approved on the day of the visit to the Experience Centre and is now delighting customers across Brazil. The design of this pack won a 2022 WorldStar Packaging award in the eCommerce category.
