Proudly supporting Cannes Young Lions competition
We are delighted to once again support the Cannes Young Lions competition. This prestigious event offers young talent in the advertising, marketing, and communications industry the chance to compete at both national and global levels. As the Festival Representatives for Ireland, the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) manages the Irish Cannes Young Lions competition, attracting hundreds of talented young professionals each year.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year that we are sponsoring the Design category. Our commitment to design and innovation is demonstrated by our network of 2,000 designers worldwide. Entrants, who must be under 30, form teams of two and are given a brief by a charity. They then have just 48 hours to prepare a presentation outlining their response to the brief.
The 2025 Young Lions competition kicked off at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin on January 22nd. The event featured presentations and a panel discussion, with us participating alongside representatives from other sponsors. Over 200 young creative professionals attended the event, showcasing their enthusiasm and creativity.
Following a judging session, seven Irish finalists, one from each category, will fly to Cannes in June to compete in the global Young Lions competition. The Irish Young Lions Competition 2025 includes seven categories: Print, Film, Design, Media, Digital, PR, and Young Marketers.
The winning entries will have the opportunity to showcase their work in the real world, with projects coming to fruition in the following months. For example, there will be a print ad in the Business Post, and Sky Ireland will produce the winning Irish film.
We are excited to see the creativity and innovation that this year's competition will bring and are proud to support the next generation of creative professionals.
