Helping Aditec eradicate plastic packaging with our sustainable paper sack solution

The Challenge
Aditec, a company that offers products and services to the construction industry, contacted us looking for a sustainable packaging solution that would replace their plastic sacks. The new design, in addition to being more attractive to consumers, had to comply with the product's technical specifications, whilst optimising the packing process as much as possible.

The Approach
We developed an automatic filling valve sack with two paper layers: an intermediate plastic film and a blank outer layer, to ensure product quality and meet the new material´s requirements. The new solution has an eye-catching design with 4-colour print, and polychrome-like images, thanks to the new technology of our Flexotech printer.

The Result
The paper sack solution with strong branding strengthened our customer's positioning in the market. We managed to optimise the logistics and production process by reducing the staff needed by 50% and increasing productivity by 300%. Because the sacks now have automatic filling, Aditec can fill three sacks per minute, instead of one. The new solution also delivered a 14% packaging cost saving.
