We’re looking for a dedicated Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team. We’re pioneers in the sustainable packaging industry, and this digital-centric role is ideal for those who share our commitment to maintaining a competitive edge online.
You’d be responsible for developing and driving the digital activity of Smurfit Kappa UK, working alongside our established and talented marketing team to drive new business creation through our digital marketing.

Main Purpose of Job
To be responsible for the continued digital growth of a leading FTSE100 company. Developing and driving the digital activity of Smurfit Kappa UK, with a keen focus on maintaining the company’s competitive edge and driving new business creation. Working as part of a team with Smurfit Kappa’s UK Marketing Manager, Marcomms Assistant and Marketing Project Executive.
The digital-centric role will complement and support the established marketing team at who are responsible for showcasing Smurfit Kappa’s industry-leading position as pioneers in the sustainable packaging industry.
Main Duties
- Develop, edit and maintain digital content
- Drive a consistent, professional and inspiring digital identity to support the business
- Develop effective digital campaigns (email, PPC, Organic, Social and SEO)Plan, create, monitor and report on organic and sponsored social media as well as Google and email campaigns
- Update and manage UK website and microsites via CMS
- Monitor, review and report on all digital marketing activity and results using web analytics and tracking codes to support accurate insights into trends and engagement, identifying potential improvements with recommendations
- Design, build and execute email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp and / or Sitecore
- Create supporting web assets and engaging video content liaising with in-house videographer, marcomms assistant, external copywriter and external design agency
- Ensure compliance from a legal and regulatory perspective i.e. GDPR
- Create and maintain good working relationship with external Digital agency
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Marketing or equivalent
- Working knowledge of CSS, CMS and HTML
- UX and CX experience
- Advanced understanding of Excel and/or other reporting software
- Practical skills in multivariate experiments through A/B testing
- Proven experience of running successful digital campaigns / web improvements supporting business growth
- Must be results driven with previous B2B experience
- Familiar with email marketing software such as Mailchimp
- Experience of Sitecore CMS platform an advantage

Salary Expectation: £37,000 to £42,000 per annum
