Smurfit Kappa Beacon have an exciting opportunity for a qualified forklift truck (FLT) driver to join their Warehouse team in Aldershot, Hampshire.
In the important role, the successful candidate will be responsible for loading/unloading vehicles and managing the movement of goods in line with Company Health and Safety and operational standards.
Key duties & responsibilities include
- Receiving incoming raw materials and unloading these.
- Locating and preparing raw materials ready for Production colleague to use.
- Taking finished goods from the warehouse and loading on to vehicles so that they are ready to be despatched to our customers on time and in full.
- Reporting loading issues to the relevant manager.
- Complying with health and safety standards and reporting any near misses or incidents in accordance with Company Policy;
- Operate in line with best practice standards for performance and quality and report any issues in line with Company Policy.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the following
- Current, valid forklift license
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safe systems of work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
The role will be on a full time, permanent basis.
Hours are 8am to 5.30pm with an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes.
