We’re looking for a Marketing Project Manager to join the friendly faces in our Marketing Team. This project management role is ideal for those with a penchant for planning and a keen eye for detail. 

The role will include planning marketing campaigns, delegating tasks to project team members, and ensuring marketing projects are completed on time and within budget.

The role will complement and support the established marketing team at Smurfit Kappa, who are responsible for showcasing Smurfit Kappa’s industry-leading position as pioneers in the sustainable packaging industry.

Main Purpose of Job


The responsibilities of the Marketing Project Manager include planning marketing campaigns, delegating tasks to project team members, supervising, and ensuring marketing projects are completed on time and within budget.

The project management-centred role will complement and support the established marketing team at Smurfit Kappa, who are responsible for showcasing Smurfit Kappa’s industry-leading position as pioneers in the sustainable packaging industry. 


Main Duties

  • Working closely with UK Marketing Manager, Marcomms Assistant and Digital Specialist, devise and orchestrate marketing campaigns and projects; from print, social or email campaigns through to brochure creation, web projects and creative assets

  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and results are reported effectively

  • Providing creative direction and strategic input

  • Effective communication with project owners, outlining clear expectations and ensuring deadlines are met

  • Collaborative working with both internal and external teams (including copywriter, design agency and digital agency)


Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • Proven experience of running successful projects with close attention to ROI
  • Experience with project management theory and best practices

  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and decision-making skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to manage and supervise marketing projects from beginning to end

  • Able to devise marketing strategies to support business objectives

  • Ability to work to deadlines, brief on time and on budget

  • Good understanding of Excel and other reporting software

  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management

  • Results driven

  • Previous B2B experience

Salary Expectation: 
£35,000 to £38,000 per annum
