We are looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to support the Finance Department in covering the Sales Ledger duties, with possibility to grow and learn more about other sides of the Finance Reporting. The role will be site based at our plant in Aldershot.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a positive, “can do” attitude, and willingness to work as part of an effective and close-knit team.
This role would suit a proactive and friendly individual with experience in a similar role. You need to be numerate, organised and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly. You also need good communication skills and be comfortable dealing with phone call enquiries.
Key duties & responsibilities include
- Sales Administration
- Production of Sales invoices, monthly statement and dunning letters
- Help check credit worthiness of potential customers
- Support creation and maintenance of customer accounts on multiple systems
- Help answering internal and external enquiries on customer accounts
- Posting of customer payments and reconciliation of accounts
- Help in the reconciliation of posting between different systems
- Support in the monthly reporting, following rigorous guidelines and deadlines
- Help in the annual review and maintenance of customer financial accounts, respecting Group protocol
- Carrying out all necessary credit control duties to ensure the timely recovery of debt
- Ensure the timely collection of cash in line with trading terms
- Finance
- Help check and maintain data accuracy between various systems
- Support in ad-hoc information gathering
- Help in monthly reporting preparation
- Support in any arising requirements
- Potential to get study support for AAT
- Potential for learning various accounting and reporting tasks
Key Skills Include

- Experience of working by strict deadlines

- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
